The first words that we utter from our distraughted mouths is “Can I have another chance, I promise to do better”. This is usually said when we’ve messed up begging for an opportunity to fix whatever have went wrong at that time but the question still remains, if given the chance would you change anything?

Well with me, I would change everything and start over on a clean slate. Receiving my research methodology marks made me see life in a different level. My world shuttered at that very moment and I just thought of where I come from and where I’m going. I am determined to make a great change in building my career and that will begin by changing the figures I got for my project and turn them around.

At this very moment, I can only change my grades and make sure I excel in all my subjects as I need to pass this degree.

If you had to teach something, what would you teach?

I have never thought of teaching as a career for myself but the more I live the bug also grow faster in me.  Social media proved to be part of our daily lives; we eat sleep and breathe it, a lot of things are happening there and someone has to take a stand and teach all the users on how it is suppose to work.

Social networks gives people the platform to be what they want to be and some make mistakes that cost them their careers and families. We seem not to know what to say at a particular time. People get attacked because of things they say on facebook, twitter or other social network, they need to be taught on how to behave when they are online.

Social psychology and media studies will be the best subject for me to teach all the social media users staring from the fun of being online to the challenges that they will encounter when time goes by. There will be consequences and it will be best that they get to know about some of them, which will prepare them for the challenges.

It will be best not to post information when they are emotional, and mustn’t be used as a platform to discuss their private lives. Your audience needs to understand you and must have relevant information that you share with each other as it will help you in the future.
Social Media can either make you or destroy you.

What motivates me?

I am from a very small family, and my background proved to be not the blissful one. I had to start taking care of myself at a very young age, learnt to be independent and decided on which career path I wanted to take. I had to give life a chance, so I learnt to approached it positively and be the leading example in my community.
I always wanted to be different, to achieve that from my community was to study because most the people did not have University qualifications. My dreams to study succeed and many youngsters decided to follow on my footsteps because they knew where I was coming from but I have succeeded to make better life for myself and lead by example.

Kids who take education serious and those who manage to beat the life obstacles despite of where they come from are my day to day inspiration. What your parents have become in life does not guarantee that you will also be like them. You are your own self and responsible of what you will become.
We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and do something about it; there will always be relevant people that you can speak to in terms of career guidance and what you would like to be. Make life better by helping others so that this world will be a far better place to be.
