My big Fat Dream

leckydance.com

Like any other human being, I have my dreams that I must undertake in my life journey. I remember while I was a little girl I had a dream to become a Ballerina. Bundus life made it impossible for me since I was not exposed to such sporting except for netball and athletics.

I missed out on the chance to perform in front of an audience, finally get to wear the pointe shoes and express myself through dancing while touring the world. I had to settle for the second choice to study, earn a better life for my kids so that I will be able to take them to such sporting events.

I have made peace with my dream, as my future generation will live it for me and then become a reality.

Conventional is a good fallback position isn’t it?

Too much comfort can be a disadvantage because it will limit you to one goal; people need to think broad about life and its challenges.

I have seen this on a daily soapie Muvhango, character James was a Managing director at Mukwevho Holdings. He was used to being first preference when CEO go out or take leave. Moreover, when they decided to rotate all line managers to act on the position to gain skills that did not sit well with him as he felt cheated. He started behaving like a child and would skip work whenever it suit him.

Well along, the comfort ability caused him troubles and he had to learn that not everything is about him. His work was affected and he had to be dismissed.

Nonetheless, I am not saying people must not relax at their spaces rather think of life outside the shell you are currently in.
