Fish falling from the sky

We are in 2 years and a quarter in 2012 yet South Africans have already had it hard. From the beginning of the year we have been experiencing bad rainfall that seemed like little fishes falling from the sky.

Few provinces from the 9 have suffered the heavy rain storms that left a few homeless. As we thought it was over, the weekend of March 02 proved us otherwise when an earthquake by the name of Irene hit the community of Northern kwa-zulu natal. People were left homeless and the nation is shattered fearing if it won’t happen again or be like Haiti.

I can’t swim to save my life, imagine when I will have to on a pool of smelly fishes that have fallen from our lovely and beautiful sky.

Home sickness!!!

I have always wanted to be an explorer, as was fascinated by the beauty of my country and I vowed that I want to tour South Africa and see all the country’s best sites.

Cape Town has always been the best province, because from the side of town I’m coming from (Mpumalanga- Nelspruit) sounds like an overseas place. Now that I am here I miss my family most that I wake up in the middle of the night cry and woke everyone up at home to get rid of the homesickness.

I would like to advise all that be sure when you decide on relocating because homesick can cause a lot of strain on your life and academics.but still we need to get out of our comfort zone and lead the independent life in order for us to grow and find out what we really want in life.

I’d like to say goodbye to homesick, hope you won’t come back to haunt me as I am willing to make the best of my life without my parents supervision.

What is the colour of the wind?

When the question come in mind, we all look around and ask ourselves, what do they mean when they ask about the colour of the wind? It does not have any visible colour effects but the work that is does is incredible and marvellous.

The colour of wind is the feeling and our conscious minds that automatically prepare the body when it’s windy (movement of trees), as you will know what to do without being told. Wind is nature no one can go against or try to put a colour to it. It is one of god’s miraculous works, like love, you can feel but not see or touch. Land and sea we don’t know where it starts and where it end or how was it created? That is the nature we must nurture.

Let’s love, appreciate our nature.

Where there’s life, there’s hope

It all started as a dream, I clearly remember in grade 11 when my economics teacher started asking us in class if were we would love to go study after matric. Everyone had went on and on about going to Joburg and Pretoria, as I stood up I said I would love to go to Cape Town and everyone burst out in laughter even my teacher as she asked if how am I going to get there? I simply told her where there is life, there is hope.

I had to hold on to the dream I had, even though I didn’t knew how I was going to get to Cape Town and who was going to finance my studies. Whenever I got to the bottom of it I knew I was going to study and have to beat all the poverty and get out of the terrible background I grew up in.

If you are encouting some similarities, know that “Once there is breath of life, there is always a huge chance of success”.

If I were the Boss?

Being a boss is not an easy thing as it comes with a lot of responsibilities; a positive attitude will be needed as I have the privilege of managing others.


First things first, have an open door policy to all my employees, which will allow them to come into my office every time they need to. Good working relationship and objectivity would be essential. Employees like to feel at home at their place of work, I will involve them in decision making as they are the ones who prosper the organization.

Some people feel threatened on their work but I would open training programs for all senior post’ in case something happen, will have our backup right behind us than employing new people as it will cost the company more money and not to make our employees feel less needed.

I’d also make sure that Mondays aren’t hectic days for us; everyone who’s late is forgiven as we would also leave early on Friday to start our weekend earlier.

When can you let go of a relationship?

Most relationships go through hard times and it is hard for one to know and decide when to call it quits, instead you keep on hoping that things will get better.


People stay in unhealthy and broken relationships that they know are no longer working for them just because they are afraid to start afresh or even fearing of being alone and to be interrogated by friends and family about the failure of the relationship. The honesty about break up’s is that are hard, that is why people don’t want to start afresh and see what life has stored for them, rather they prefer to be stuck in the non-functional relationship.

If only you think that you can make your relationship work, make sure that you respect each other for it to grow because love and respect goes well together as you will also need to be committed to each other. If you can’t make it work, let him/her go and remember it’s all about you and you happiness. Don’t get trapped in a relationship that does not bring you anything rather pain that is causing misery in your precious life.

Remember “what doesn’t kill you makes you strong” getting out of that unproductive relationship could be an achievement to you and your soul as you will welcome happiness .in your life

Breastfeeding in a public area

Breastfeeding in public is legal and it make sense but I find it very offensive when I see fellow sisters doing it in public areas such as, taxis, restaurants and shopping malls. Not that it’s a bad thing to do since it is considered best for the child’s growth rather we do it in a private place since other breast’s don’t look tasteful to all of us .

Two young ladies started arguing in a taxi when they saw one woman breastfeeding her child and sitting next to a guy as he started looking outside the window because he felt uneasy looking at that lady’s boobies. One lady said she was not seeing anything wrong about breastfeeding that child in a taxi as the child was hungry because we also buy our kfc and eat in a taxi yet others are hungry, she feel it will be a bad thing for a parent to starve the baby because of what people will say.

I suggest we all do what is best for our children, carry a small towel to cover them while breastfeeding than leaving our breast’s hanging out for everyone to see.
